2012 3-Day

The 2012 3-Day wrapped up today.  Over $3 million dollars was raised in the Twin Cities alone.  Thank you to each and everyone of you who supported Becky's Hope.  Whether it was a monetary donation, sending a letter to camp or cheering for us along the route, we want to say thank you.  Please check back soon to see all of our pictures from the weekend.

3-Day Cheering Stations

Please consider supporting "Becky's Hope" by coming to a cheering station:

Cheering Stations. Public cheering stations are a great way to show your support along the route to encourage walkers and let them know that you are with them every step of the way. Seeing familiar faces can provide that extra burst of energy that gets a walker to take that next step or go the next mile. Create banners, hold up signs, bring some music and spread the love - anything to make them smile, get energized and keep walking.

On some portions of the route you may find areas that are deemed “quiet zones” which will be indicated by signage on the route. Please assist us in respecting our neighborhoods and communities during this time.

2012 Twin Cities 3-Day

The week is finally here!  "Becky's Hope" will be walking in the Twin Cities 3-Day starting on Friday.  This year our teams (Boston, Tampa and Twin Cities) have raised an amazing $36,000!  That brings our fundraising total up to over $200,000 since our first walk in 2008.  I think that is outstanding!!!!  Please check out www.the3day.org for spectator information.  We hope to see you at the cheering stations.

Today is the final day of the Boston 3-Day.  Our walkers did awesome!  Way to go "Becky's Hope".

This year Becky's Hope has a team of four wonderful ladies walking in the Boston 3-Day.  Their journey begins on Friday, July 27.  Some have started the trek to Boston today.  Please pray for their safe travels.  They are on a mission to raise awareness and to continue the legacy that Becky started in 2008.  Good luck Barb, Carolyn, Ellen and Missy!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended Swany's, Ride for Research and Nicollet's Hope 5K.  All events were successful.  We could not continue to raise awareness and hope without your help!

Swany's Fundraiser on May 23

Please join members of "Becky's Hope" at Swany's on May 23 for an all you can eat pizza and chicken buffet!  The cost is $7.75   -   .50/plate and all tips and wages will go to the Susan G. Komen 3-Day team "Becky's Hope".  The time is 5:00 - 8:30 p.m.  Thank you to Swany's for their support!!!!

Ride for Research Details

Saturday, June 9
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. register at Rapid Rick's Bar in Nicollet.
$25/driver, $10/passenger, $5/passenger under 15 (free gift with registration & meal included)
Ride t-shirts will be available for purchase.
Returning to Rapid Rick's at approximately 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Any street legal bikes, cars & supporters are welcome!
Team "Becky's Hope" will be hosting the meal after the ride.  Free will donations are appreciated.
Raffle/Silent Auction will close at 7:00 p.m.
Street dance from 7:30 - 11:30 p.m. with music provided by Shirts & Skins, with a free will cover charge.

2012 Race for the Cure

Registration is now open for the 2012 Mother's Day Race for the Cure!  Please consider joining our team "Becky's Hope".  If you register by the end of February it's only $25.  There is also a kids fun run.  Our kids have been participating in that race for the past few years and always have a blast.  Hope to see you on Mother's Day!

Thank you to Delta Phi Omega for donating $1,000 to "Becky's Hope" for the 2012 3-Day.  This is a picture of Becky with the Delta's at their breast cancer fundraiser in November 2010.
